Aerial view of the Gatteville lighthouse, the tallest in Europe, with its main building and a secondary tower, on rocky terrain bordered by the sea. The reverse features handwritten text, a Cherbourg cancellation of 17-8-1968, a 25-centime stamp, and an address to Madame de Fragnolle in Mâcon. The publisher 'Combier Imp.' is mentioned at the bottom right.
