Description

View of the famous Roman aqueduct of the Pont du Gard, built before the Christian era on the order of Agrippa to bring the waters of the Fontaine d'Uzès to Nîmes. The reverse indicates the publisher Monocolor, Lyon, and specifies the length (269 m) and height (48 m) of the structure. A handwritten '2-' is visible at the bottom right.
