Description

Colorized view of Samsonov Park in Petrodvoretz, Leningrad Oblast, showing fountains, statues, and a long canal lined with trees. On the reverse, a Soviet postcard dated 12 June 1972, sent by air from Petrodvoretz to Paris, with a 2 kopecks stamp and cancellation of 5 December 1972. The message congratulates the recipient on her day of relaxation in one of the most splendid summer residences of the imperial court, mentioning the intense heat (35°C).
