Description

Interior of the underground Basilica Saint-Pierre in Lourdes, with its modern concrete architecture, steps, and vaulted ceiling with crossed beams. Printed text on the reverse indicates the dimensions (317 m, 200 m in length, 80 m in width) and consecration in January 1958. Handwritten correspondence dated August 1st, addressed to 'Ma Boule', expresses the joy of receiving the postcard and the anticipation of a visit to Lourdes.
