Postcard depicting the Odeillo Solar Furnace, located at 1800 m altitude in the Pyrenees, with printed text describing its role as 'The world's largest Solar Furnace' and its power of 1000 Kw. The reverse features handwritten correspondence addressed to Gisèle and staff in Boulogne, with two French stamps of 20 and 100 centimes, cancelled in Font Romeu-Boéillou (66) on 17 September 1979, and mentions the publisher 'Éditions DINO' based in Perpignan.
