View of the sacred lake of Karnak in Luxor, with its Egyptian ruins and a palm in the foreground. The reverse features a handwritten letter to Madame R. Jegoueuan at Saint-Grande-Rue, France, and indicates the publisher 'Dar El Kitab, Cairo'. Egyptian postage stamp of 115 piastres with cancellation of May 30, 1964.
