Description

Two Peul shepherds, dressed in long cloaks and wearing large round hats, walking in front of the clay mosque in Djenné, Mali. The text on the reverse specifies that they are nomadic herders traveling through the Sahel and that the mosque, rebuilt around 1830, was the most famous in Africa in the 18th century. The publisher is 'Editions Service 3.4. Paul Michel' and the postcard bears the serial number XXXV-C1.
