View of the market place and church of Cirencester, known as the 'Capital of the Cotswolds', with old houses and an imposing church in the background. The reverse bears a handwritten letter in French addressed to Mademoiselle B. Sagot in Paris, dated July 7, 1963, accompanied by a blue 4 pence stamp and a circular cancellation.
