Tropical beach view with palm trees and several canoes in the foreground, one of which bears the inscription 'EXPRESOILES'. On the reverse, printed text reads 'Tartane: The Seashore, Afternoon' and a handwritten address to Miss Sylvia Grillon in Terres-Curiales. French stamps of 10c and 200c, cancellation 'GROS-MORNE 16-8-1938'.
