Colored view of Mont Saint-Michel with its abbey and buildings perched on a rocky island, bordered by the sea. The reverse bears a handwritten letter in German addressed to Karl Heissenberger in Vienna, dated 27 July 1982, with a French 200 franc postage stamp and a city cancellation from Gonfreville-l'Orcher.
