View of a white church with a bell tower and a mural fresco depicting a saint, located in an alpine landscape with snow-capped mountains. The reverse indicates the location 'MESOCCO - MESOLCINA', the note 'Santa Maria del Castello (circa 1100)', a Swiss 40 centime stamp dated December 12, 1979, and a handwritten letter addressed to 'W. Bühler' in Luzern.
