Description

Colorized view of a port with white houses and boats, overlooking the medieval Mont Orgueil Castle on a rocky hill. The reverse indicates that the castle, located on the coast of Jersey, was built in the 13th century to repel French attacks. The publisher is Jarrold & Sons Ltd, Norwich, England. The card features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Hélène Courmons in Paris, with a 5 pence stamp of Queen Elizabeth II and a Jersey postmark dated 16 June 1957.
