Black and white view of Marienplatz in Munich in 1939, showing the Mariensäule and the Alte Rathaus under a cloudy sky. The reverse indicates that the Mariensäule was erected in 1638 by the Elector Maximilian and that the Alte Rathaus was destroyed in 1944. The publisher is Sildmann & Co., with the serial number 235.
