Description

View of the clock tower of Newton Abbot, South Devon, under a blue sky with clouds. To the right, the street with buildings, including 'The Ship Inn'. The back contains a handwritten letter in French sent from Newton Abbot on 22 February 1950, addressed to Madame Thomas Annie in France, as well as printed text describing the town and its center. The postage stamp is canceled 'NEWTON ABBOT DEVON 22 FEB 1950'.
