Description

Black-and-white view of the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, with the Palace of the Mediterranean in the background, palm trees in the foreground, and vintage cars on the road. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to 'my dear Georgie mother' and dated December 1939, sent from Nice to T. Bassein, Côtes du Nord, with a postmark and cancellation 'NICE 29 DEC 39'.
