View of the famous Hotel Negresco in Nice, with its white façade and characteristic dome, flanked by palm trees and cars on the Promenade des Anglais. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Jourdain in Le Mesnil-au-Val, with a red 'Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité' stamp and a postmark from Nice dated 25 May 1962.
