Description

Postcard showing the Arènes de Nîmes, a Roman amphitheatre built shortly before the Christian era, measuring 137m by 100m and capable of holding 21,000 spectators. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated March 30, 1982, sent from Nîmes (Gard), with a 1.60 franc postage stamp and a postmark from the Nîmes post office.
