Black and white view of the Roman theatre in Orange, showing the semi-circle with its stone steps and the ruined stage. On the reverse, a handwritten note dated 21-6-55 from Jean to his friend in Avignon, expressing his appreciation for the postcard and his trip to Orange. Bottom left, the publisher 'Edity Rome' and the series number '402'.
