Description

Reproduction of a work by Giovanni Battista Salvi called Sassoferrato (1609-1685), titled 'Virgin and Child Jesus', inspired by Raphael's Madonna Connestabile. The image shows the Virgin in a red dress and blue cloak, holding the Child Jesus who holds a book, against a landscape background. The reverse indicates that the original work is kept at the Louvre Museum in Paris, with an incorrect mention of Leningrad, and bears the number PE.2356.
