Description

Black and white view of the July Column in Paris, erected in 1830 in memory of patriots killed during the barricades of July 14, 1789. The reverse presents a bilingual (French/English) description of the history of the site, a handwritten address to Madame Yvette Averty, and two stamps of 5 and 8 francs canceled by a Parisian postmark from May 12, 1951.
