Description

Aerial view of the Passage du Gois with the tide rising, boats and pedestrians on the dike. Printed text in red at the bottom right: 'PASSAGE DU GOIS.' with a coat of arms. Reverse: postcard sent from Mouilleron-en-Pareds (Vendée) to Isabelle Marielle in Mandement, with a handwritten letter dated May 13, 1956, a 220 franc postage stamp, and a postmark.
