Black and white illustration of the Angers cathedral, highlighting its 16th-century Gothic spires, after a drawing by Le Bars. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated August 2, 1955, addressed to M. E. Delaunay in Montgellier, with a 10-franc postage stamp and a postmark from Pleyben (Finistère).
