Description

View of the Porta Nigra in Trier, a Roman monument dating from 16 BCE, with visitors in front of its arches. On the reverse, a handwritten letter in French recounts a trip to Germany, Luxembourg, Alsace, and Switzerland, addressed to Jacqueline Lachet in Paris, accompanied by a Helvetia 1988 stamp and a Pulheim cancellation.
