Description

Interior of the Basilica of St. Apollinaire in Classe, dating from the 6th century, showing a marble-columned nave, an exposed wooden ceiling, and a main altar beneath a central mosaic with a cross. The reverse indicates the publisher Fratelli Leonardi, Ravenna, and a handwritten letter addressed to Miss Adèle Ridard in Fougeray, France, with an Italian 15 lire stamp and a cancellation from Ravenna dated April 24, 1924.
