Description

Colorized postcard showing a village in a valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with chalets scattered on the green slopes. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated Tuesday, July 9, 1980, sent from Frutigen (Furkapass) to Barbara Vivarelli and Brigitte Kälin in Zurich, signed by Ruth. The 40-centime stamp depicts Johann Föhn (1808–1880) and bears the Furkapass cancellation of July 12, 1980.
