Description

View of the La Corderie Royale building in Rochefort-sur-Mer, an ancient rope-making factory built in 1666, destroyed by fire in 1944 and beautifully restored. The printed text mentions its length of 370 meters. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 22.02.95 is addressed to 'Josée' and contains an affectionate message. A postal stamp is affixed with a cancellation from Rochefort-sur-Mer.
