Colorized view of the Pantheon in Rome, with a fountain adorned with an obelisk in the foreground. The inscription 'MAGRIPPALFCOSTERTIVMFECIT' is visible above the columns. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated November 16, 1949, sent to Madame Yvonne Hervo in Enghien, France, by a member of the American Club of Marcelle in Rome. The Italian postage stamp of 1.50 Lire is canceled 'ROMA' and bears the note 'Riproduzione vietata'.
