View of the large brick main gate of the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, with a clock above the entrance and a small bell tower to the left. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 7/08/81, sent from St. Ives, Huntingdon, and printed text stating that the gate bears the date 1829 and was built under George IV. British postmark and stamp 'POST OFFICE PREFERRED'.
