View of the Saint Mother Church, a 12th-century church, with a Roman calvary on the right and an abbey tower. The reverse mentions that the base of the calvary is a Roman milestone and recounts the story of American paratrooper John Steele, killed during the Battle of Normandy. The publisher is Emy, with a note of reproduction by French Editions LECONTE. Two stamps of 1.30F and 0.10F are affixed, with a postmark from Coutances dated 11 November 1969.
