Description

Black and white view of the Gothic bell tower of the Sainte-Eutrope church in Saintes, overlooking an old quarter with tiled roofs and gardens. On the reverse, a handwritten correspondence dated 1940 mentions a train journey to Royan, with a Saintes cancellation. The stamp is partially visible.
