Description

Two men in traditional Uzbek clothing pass in front of the madrasa in Samarkand, whose walls are adorned with complex geometric patterns in green and yellow ceramics. The reverse mentions that Samarkand, conquered by Genghis Khan, became a prestigious capital under Tamerlane, and that its monuments are the most visited in Central Asia.
