Description

View of St Paul's Cathedral in London, with a double-decker bus and pedestrians in the foreground. On the reverse, printed text describing the building as designed by Christopher Wren, successor to the old cathedral destroyed in 1666, and costing one million pounds. Two stamps of Queen Elizabeth II (1d red and 1d blue) are affixed, with a postmark from Addis Ababa dated August 8, 1955. The address is directed to Madame and Monsieur Dejean in Malakoff, France, with handwritten French script.
