Description

Postcard showing a metal war helmet adorned with a fleur-de-lis and a nail collar, dating from the period of Gustaf Vasa. The reverse indicates that it was purchased in Augsburg in 1541 by the merchant Claus Heijder on behalf of the royal court, and is preserved at the Kungliga Livrustkammaren in Stockholm. The stamp and cancellation are visible at the bottom right.
