View of a sunset over the ruins of an ancient lead mine in Cornwall, with a glowing sky and sea in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 19, 1977, sent from Bodmin, Cornwall, to Madame Simone Pajist in Paris, accompanied by an 8 pence stamp and a circular cancellation. Printed text at the bottom of the reverse explains the historical significance of the mine and mentions the model village of St. Agnes.
