Aerial view of Tananarive with a lake in the center and scattered buildings around, including a lone tower on a small island. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 21, 1957, sent from Tananarive to Les Hôges in France, with a stamp and two postmarks from Tananarive (1958) and Madagascar.
