View of the Anglican Cathedral of Liverpool, built from local red sandstone, dominating the city from a rocky promontory. The printed text states that the central tower reaches 331 feet above ground level and that the first stone was laid on 19 July 1904. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Consigny in Souffles/Lourg, France, is stamped with a 6d pink stamp from 1969 and cancelled at Birkenshaw.
