View of the ancient ruins of the Temple of Mercury and the Capitol at Thuburbo Majus, with Roman columns standing in an arid landscape under a blue sky. The reverse has handwritten French text addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Braunschweig in Paris, with a 50 millimes stamp of the Tunisian Republic dated 24 September 1972, and a postmark from Tunis.
