View of Tiksey Monastery in Ladakh, on a rocky slope under a blue sky. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 10 September 1978, sent from Leh to Madame Hélène Galland in Paris, with three Indian stamps (20 p. and 2x 60 p.) and a cancellation from Leh. The publisher is indicated as 'NO 2 TIKSEY MONASTERY (LADAKH)' at the bottom of the reverse.
