View of the Roman ruins of Tipaza, with a large terracotta jar and stone blocks by the sea. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Baudet in Dinan, France, dated August 1st, 1960, with an Algerian 40 millimes postage stamp and a cancellation 'ALGER'.
