Description

Interior view of the old hospital of Tonnerre, founded in 1293, showing a large hall 100 m long and 80 m wide, covered by a chestnut vault 16 m 50 high. An astronomical dial was built there in 1785 by Dom Ferrouillat, monk of the Abbey of Saint-Michel of Tonnerre. The reverse indicates the publisher E. Mignon, Villeneuve-la-Garenne, and mentions 'Photo Véritable'.
