Description

Black and white photograph of a S.N.C.F. steam locomotive No. 242 A-1, a three-cylinder compound with superheating, put into service in 1946. The reverse details its technical specifications: maximum speed of 130 km/h, pressure of 20 kpz, total heating surface of 5 m², and total weight in working order of 148,000 kg.
