Black and white view of the Ussé-Rigny castle, with its characteristic towers and roofs, overlooking a retaining wall. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. René Berteaux in Sevres, with an 8 franc stamp from the Loire Valley and a postmark from Tours-Gare dated 14-11-1955. The publisher ALFA is mentioned at the bottom right.
