View of Piazza San Marco in Venice with the Saint Mark's bell tower and a multitude of pigeons in flight under a blue sky. The reverse features a multilingual inscription (Italian, English, German) and a handwritten letter in French addressed to Madame Collignon in Montgeron, France, dated 4 June 1968. Italian 40 lire stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first airmail stamp, postmarked in Brescia.
