Colored view of Piazza San Marco in Venice, dominated by the bell tower and basilica, with a flock of pigeons in mid-flight under a blue sky. On the reverse, a handwritten letter in French expresses the joy of the visit despite the damp weather, and mentions the sender's address in Moussey-le-Poit. Italian stamp of 300 Lire dated June 16, 1982, postmark of Venice.
