Black and white view of the belfry of Vire, a stone tower with a clock, surrounded by rooftops of houses. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 7, 1943, sent from Vire to Madame Duguid in La Motte-Saint-Jean, with a 1 franc 20 postage stamp and a cancellation mark from Vire.
