Black and white view of the feudal castle of Vitré, with its round towers and medieval fortress, overlooking a village. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Gaby' and a handwritten address to Madame Nicolllet in Cherbourg, with a 12-franc postmark and a cancellation from Pontorson dated October 28, 1953.
