This painted decoration represents a Baroque ceiling with angels, saints, and a crucified Christ in the nave of the Pilgrimage Church of Steingaden, built between 1746 and 1754 by Dominikus Zimmermann. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Metz, Tübingen' and specifies that the work is a 'Ceiling Painting in the Nave'.
