View of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC, framed by flowering cherry branches and a pond. On the reverse, a handwritten letter in French addressed to Ladane Tranet in Paris, dated August 22, 1960, with a 28-cent American postmark and a Washington, DC cancellation.
