Snowy view of an alpine village with wooden chalets and a large wooden gate, with the Matterhorn in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to F. Gogard in Chéry-Lac, France, dated January 21-22, 1956, with a Helvetia 25 centimes stamp and a postmark from Zermatt.
