Description

View of Wu Men Gate, the main entrance to the Forbidden City, with its red walls and orange-tiled roofs. The reverse details its history: built in 1420 during the reign of Emperor Yong Le and repaired in 1647 under Emperor Shunzhi. Above the gate are five buildings, called the 'phoenix tower,' housing a bell and a drum used for imperial ceremonies. A handwritten inscription '0,10 €' is visible at the top right.
